When a family has a safe, dry place to sleep, everything changes. Children can study safely. Parents and Grandparents can protect their belongings and focus on work. Illness from damp floors and leaking roofs declines. A simple, sturdy home becomes the foundation for health, dignity, and opportunity.
In rural Cambodia, too many families still live in fragile shelters—structures that flood in the rainy season, offer little protection from heat, and lack basic sanitation. Together, we can change that.
The house pictured belongs to a widow, who was raising her three grandchildren on her own. The children’s parents moved to Thailand in search of employment, and left the kids with their grandmother. They were homeless. Thanks to generous donations we were able to build a house for the grandmother and her children.
